1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SpellTales ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SpellTales is an AI-powered storytelling application that generates personalized bedtime stories for children aged 2-17. The service includes:

AI-generated story creation
Story saving and management
Child profile management
Learning word integration
Age-appropriate content filtering

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

You must be 18 years or older to create an account
You must provide accurate and complete information
You are responsible for maintaining account security
One account per email address

Account Types

Guest: Limited access, toddler stories only, with advertisements
Free: All age ratings, with advertisements
Premium: Full access, ad-free, story saving, custom word management (£2.99/month)

4. Parental Responsibility

Parents/guardians are solely responsible for supervising children's use
Parents must review stories before sharing with children
Parents control all profile settings and age ratings
Parents are responsible for all account activity

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Premium Subscription

Billed monthly at £2.99 GBP
Automatically renews unless cancelled
Cancel anytime through Apple App Store settings
No refunds for partial months
Subscription benefits end at the end of the billing period after cancellation

6. Content and AI Generation

AI-Generated Content

Stories are generated by AI and may contain errors or inconsistencies
We use content safety filters but cannot guarantee 100% appropriate content
Parents should review stories before reading to children
We are not responsible for AI-generated content that bypasses filters

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Share your account credentials
Attempt to bypass content filters
Use the App for commercial purposes without permission
Generate excessive stories to overload our systems
Use the App for any illegal purpose

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
We are not liable for AI-generated content

9. Governing Law and Data Location

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, United Kingdom. Your data is stored and processed in the United Kingdom (AWS EU-West-2 London region).
